Crew
At the heart of our operations is our crew. So, whether you want 2 people for 2 hours or 20 people for 20 days, we’re here to help. We pride ourselves on delivering a service on site that is dependable and professional, giving our clients the confidence to develop a lasting relationship. All of our clients return to us for repeat business.
On a practical level we offer (click for more info):
- Call outs for as little as 2 hours
- Unlike a lot of companies in our industry, we do not operate a minimum one day call out. This means that if you have a small job for a small crew, you will only be charged for the work done.
- 24 hour service:
- Our crew are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and when we can, we’ll supply you with a crew last minute at any time. Our 24 hour booking number is 0844 822 1515.
- Stage construction:
- Connection Crew was founded on stage building. From day one, we have been an industry leader in the construction of a variety of staging systems and are familiar with each of the systems’ quirks and challenges. This ensures a fast and efficient build time.
- Set builders:
- Our crew are experienced in set building and are familiar with a variety of techniques. We come with our own tools should you require and we have crew with a clear understanding of technical drawings.
- Audio visual support and technicians:
- We provide a skilled crew who are AV literate and able to slot into any production alongside your technicians with great ease.
- Knowledge of sound:
- We have technical crew members with great experience and knowledge of PA systems and backline. A lot of our crew are experienced sound technicians and engineers, meaning that they are capable of taking care of these areas with very little supervision. We understand the set-up of PA systems - from small conference venues to large outdoor concerts and have crew that are familiar with the live music environment.
- Knowledge of lighting:
- Up lighters, moving heads, power and distribution are all included in our basic light training programme. Between us we have over a century of experience working with lighting under our belts. Remember to let us know if you need experienced lighting crew and we will include them at no additional cost.
- Health and safety assessments:
- All of our crew members are issued with a Safety Passport - a nationally recognised, industry standard certificate. This is not mandatory, so not every crewing company will issue these as standard to their crew. In 2010 Director Warren Rogers completed a NEBOSH in Occupational Health and Safety; enabling us to assess event sites and make recommendations required for the safety of the site.
- Transport:
- We have our own vehicles to ensure the punctual arrival of our crews. Should you have larger transport requirements, we can quickly mobilise a solution.
- Logistics:
- Mobilising multiple teams of crew and vehicles London-wide, nationally and internationally requires a robust in-house system. We have this at the heart of all our operations and it consistently delivers our service with success. We use our bespoke, cloud-based software, METIS to book crew and keep a record of upcoming, current and completed jobs.
- Plant Operators:
- We can provide drivers and qualified operatives for: Fork lifts, Scissor lifts, Tele-handlers, Boom Lifts, 7.5 Tonne Drivers - only available with hire of 7.5 Tonne Truck.
