Sustainability
Sustainability is paramount to us, so we are very proud to be a Carbon Smart business with social values. We are certified Carbon Smart, meaning that we have actively improved our environmental performance and reduced our carbon footprint. Whilst we acknowledge that it is impossible to become Carbon Neutral (certainly a misnomer), we do also acknowledge that sustained and responsible success is certainly dependent on The Triple Bottom Line approach - where economic, ecological and social aspects are granted equal importance.
We worked on a programme with Carbon Smart addressing areas of concern with regards to our carbon emission and implemented a plan of clear practical actions that would see us targeting a reduction in our emissions by 10% in one year. This is an ambitious target considering that we always operated with a small footprint. However, we are confident that when they return for our annual report, we would have far exceeded this target. The aim is to reduce our emissions by 25% in 3 years.
The social aspect of our business plays a key role in our sustainability, not only does it provide us with a moral/business balance, it also gives us more to strive for. Click here for more info on this side of our operations.
