The Team
Charlie has gathered almost twenty years of event experience in London. First working as a promoter in the London club scene, he moved into event production and sound engineering. As a stage manager and a record producer he has had a colourful career being fortunate enough to work with some of the world’s leading artists. Charlie has built a wealth of experience in logistics and event production and has been operating professionally in corporate events for the last fifteen years. His passion for running a social enterprise is driven by his experience of working with Connection at St Martins and regularly volunteers with the charity in their work with London’s homeless communities.
Warren’s experience as a Production Manager has brought a lot of “on-the-ground” knowledge to Connection Crew. He started his career in the events industry 15 years ago as a member of crew and later became a technician before moving into event production. As a Director, Warren oversees the efficient delivery of our planning and operations as well as working closely to develop the crew’s skill sets in line with ever-changing client needs. Warren holds a NEBOSH certificate for occupational Health and Safety and maintains the rigorous and on-going development of our policy at Connection Crew.
Mat joined Connection Crew in the summer of 2011 as Logistics Manager. He is responsible for assigning the appropriate crew to jobs and is chief operator of our ground-breaking logistics platform Metis. He has a wealth of experience in event, project and international tour management. Mat has proved a genuine asset to Connection Crew. He is also a keen musician with a BA (Hons) in Commercial Music and regularly gigs with his band.
Alex came on board this summer to take care of Connection’s PR, promotional and press activities; in fact anything that involves a lot of writing. He updates content for our website whilst meticulously removing tautology and split infinitives from all of our promotional material. Outside of Connection, you can find Alex tearing up the London live circuit with his band.
Since leaving Italy in 2003 after working as an editor in cinema and producing live music events Francesca has found herself being drawn further into the financial side of the industry. A license holder for the sale of alcohol in the UK and a number of years running live venues in London has led to a real attention to detail when it comes to numbers. Francesca joined Connection Crew in the finance department in mid-2010 and has been keeping the books up to date since.
