Crew Training

For us, training is a way to empower our crew to deliver the service that our clients expect from us. Thanks to the generous support of Laban - who have kindly granted us access to their multi-million pound start-of-the-art facility - we can carry out our thorough practical training activities on top of our theoretical induction; which is done on our premises.

Basic Training and Induction

Our induction includes a basic training programme in the practical elements of crewing including health and safety, an introduction to on-site etiquette, our exacting demands in professionalism and an explanation of the company ethos. Our full day training session is a lot more thorough than a lot of inductions which basically involve a signature and kit collection. The day includes teaching from industry professionals in the following:

From our inception, we have embedded a culture of risk assessment into our staff. We run through real on-site RA scenarios to give the crew confidence in working to high standards of Health and Safety. Knowing when to put a hard hat on is one thing, but having the confidence to suspend work until H&S laws are adhered to is another. All crew must develop that confidence as a safe working environment is paramount.

Advanced Training

We take our more experienced crew away from the frenetic pace of a live job to develop a deeper understanding of how to affect more complex AV solutions. This is achieved both in a seminar environment and through practical assessment.

Delivered by a team of experienced technicians, this advanced training aims to give our crew the confidence to perform those extra AV tasks when on site; meaning extra value for money and efficiency for our clients. We work very closely with AV companies and we are told our strengths lie in our ability to deliver crew who “do a hell of a lot more than push boxes”.

Our Crew Chiefs and Elite Crew are PASMA trained in the use of mobile access towers and carry a PASMA ticket to every job. On top of this, they are all First Aid trained holding an HSE approved Emergency First Aid at Work AoFA qualification.
